Meet at Shinjyuku Station
Please meet us at Shinjyuku Station. Look for your guide holding a sign with the tour name. It’s easy to find, but feel free to arrive early in case the station is busy. We will travel from Shinjuku to Nagano Prefecture by limited express train.
9:30 - 11:45
Transfer to Nagano Prefecture.－Arrival at Matsumoto Station.
You will arrive at Matsumoto Station in approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. After arrival, we will take a train and a shuttle vehicle to reach the secluded hot spring area of Shirahone Onsen.

Arrival at the accommodation.
We have arrived at the accommodation. You will be staying at this inn for consecutive nights. Please leave your luggage and relax until dinner time. There is also a hot spring bath, so feel free to enjoy it to your heart’s content. Tomorrow, we will go hiking. Please come dressed in suitable hiking attire when we meet tomorrow!

Kamikochi
Kamikochi is a mountain scenic area located in the Hida Mountain Range in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, at an elevation of approximately 1,500 meters above sea level. It is home to a variety of breathtaking landscapes, including majestic mountains, beautiful ponds, wetlands, and crystal-clear rivers. Moreover, the scenery changes dramatically depending on the weather and the time of day, so you will never tire of its beauty. Let’s enjoy it at your own pace.

Matsumoto Castle
Matsumoto Castle is a historic castle located in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, and is designated as a National Treasure of Japan. Renowned for its beautiful appearance and historical significance, it is one of Japan’s most popular sightseeing destinations. Highlights include Japan’s oldest existing main keep, the moats and stone walls surrounding the castle, and the scenery that changes beautifully with each of the four seasons. In particular, the main keep of Matsumoto Castle is known as a “connected complex-style” keep. This elegant black-lacquered structure rises five stories high with six internal floors. Owing to its historical importance and architectural beauty, it holds a highly significant place in the history of Japanese castle architecture.
